Romance in Campeche, Mexico, Pt. 2

This is part two of our virtual trip to Campeche, Mexico. (Missed part one?)

We’re absolutely in love with all the color that Mexico offers, whether inland painted on facades or on flowers near the ocean. It only makes sense to honor the country’s abundance color with an equally colorful celebration. We were particularly dazzled by one couple’s Campeche wedding at the incredible Hacienda Uayamon.

Where will our next stop be? Tune in next week to find out…

Love, Raya

Revival: Baby’s Breath

More often than not deemed as a filler flower and confined to playing second fiddle to luscious flowers, baby’s breath is coming around. What’s taken so long?

Thanks to its airy and delicate nature, baby’s breath has a clean and minimalist appearance that can serve as chic and dreamy details for a wedding. Even better, baby’s breath is affordable.

Ways to incorporate this dainty flower are to amass baby’s breath into towering centerpieces, or have the flower especially on show in bouquets and boutonnieres. Or, add a dreamy element to your wedding cake with baby’s breath, or set place cards afloat atop a bed of it.

Try This: Christmas Ornament Turned Cake Topper

Cake toppers needn’t be limited to flowers, figurines and sparkling monograms.

A bride recently fashioned a holiday ornament resembling her bridal shoes into a cake topper. “I was going to dress it [the cake] with flowers to make it different and I found a pair of shoes that were Christmas decorations from Gisela Graham. They looked like mini versions of my shoes and [I] decided they had to go on the top tier!” stated the bride (here).

How lovely did this turn out? Now this is wedding customization at its best!
