There’s something about Spring that makes this particular seasonal wedding extra special and magical.
Perhaps it’s the warmer weather transition from the Winter chill, or the sweet blooms, blossoming and awakening the senses. The thought of Spring is romantic, whimsical and dreamy all at once. Soft color palettes and fabric textures are easy default elements to gear towards when planning for a Spring wedding.
Color Palettes: Soft hues from light pink, peach, lavender, sage and creams.
Blooms: Spring is the season for sweet fragrant flowers such as Erlicheers, Hyacinths, Jasmines, Lily of the Valley, Lilacs and Peonies.
Fabric Textures: Typically you want to stick to light fabrics that give an essence of romance and elegance. Silk Georgette, Chiffon and delicate Lace are key fabric choices. Bridal Shoes and Accessories: Lace gloves are a nice touch to tie in a feminine, soft touch to complete your entire look.

When choosing wedding day shoes, we always like to make sure that the bride is comfortable in them. There will be lots of dancing from the celebration, let alone the fact that your ‘Big Day’ will be a long one. Some brides like to play around with their ‘Something Blue’ with their shoes also. And even lately, brides have become more creative with DIY projects; Adding flowers and jewels, and customizing their shoes with their personal touch.
Hair and Makeup: When choosing a hairstyle, first thing you need to keep in mind is to make sure that your hairstyle coincides with your dress.
To add ‘Spring Romance’ to your hair, add soft loose braids or twists. Even the use of flowers for hair accessories (fresh, artificial, fabric or metallic) does the trick.
The use of floral crowns are our personal favorite!
With regards to makeup, adding a shimmering glow to your cheekbones and around the eyes looks ethereal. However, be mindful to not overdue the shimmer, otherwise it may start to look theatrical.
Wedding Decor and Details: Weather you’re inspired by vintage, shabby chic, rustic, elegant, fancy or anything else, Spring reminds us of birds and blooms. The use of birdcages are always fun to throw in your event. Either as centerpieces or accent details.
Light colored centerpiece containers with white flowers are always fun to play around with.
Light color linens for your tablescape is suggested.
Even the use of simplicity for your tablescape highlights and focuses on the flowers you choose for your wedding.
However, if you choose kick it up a notch and highlight the flowers as your main table centerpiece, the use of floral table runners are magnificent for both display and the ‘wow’ factor at your event. Note that only floral table runners are best used on long table settings.
Floral chandeliers and fresh flowers for menu your display are great additions to your ‘Spring Romance’ details.
If it’s within your budget, having a grand floral entrance to either your wedding ceremony or wedding reception is quite grand and truly a dream.
When dealing with lighting, we always suggest the use of excess candles for a romantic ambiance. Should you use hanging candle votives, hang them with thing satin ribbons.
Cake Details: Stick to soft color hues with the use of flowers (of course), be it from one main floral detail, to multiple flower details.
Whichever way you like to execute your ‘Spring Romance’ wedding theme, just remember the one key element to the theme…Flowers, Flowers, Flowers!!
