A big thank you goes to our friend Duke of Duke Photography for sending along these images from Jasmin and Nick’s wedding!

It was truly a chic and dreamy by-the-sea soiree. This California wedding was full of oceanic details and crisp blue and white elements influenced by the ocean, arrangements overflowing with luscious flowers, and of course a truly stunning backdrop. We especially love the bride’s chic look, the multitude of candles at the reception and that beautiful cake.

Frilly Carnations

Carnations have gotten a bad rap. A single stem in a bud vase can make a statement just as a luscious volume of these often-overlooked frilly blossoms can.

These lovely flowers are affordable, available in romantic colors like pale pink, apricot, red and white, among others, and are available year round. Plus, they have the ability to look, dare we say, chic.

A carnation, simply a filler flower? We think not.

A Luminescent Candlescape

The above candlescape from a recent estate wedding (and captured by Sharon Clark of Smitten Photography) left us speechless! What a gorgeous way to add a romantic glow to a space. A Petal-Splashed Aisle

We love the chic-ness of a classic black and white soiree as much as the next girl, but to see a flourish of color at a wedding is quite an exciting thing. Think crimson red, deep plum, or sunny yellow.

Oftentimes color is ushered in by the use of flowers. Look at the way the purple leaves transform an LA sidewalk in the above photo: Let this be inspiration for your wedding! An aisle showered in flower petals is an easy and often affordable way to enhance an outdoor ceremony. Not to mention, the photographs turn out wonderful!
