How to Keep Your Bridesmaids Happy
Bridesmaids play an important role in the success of a wedding. The bridesmaids keep the bride happy by helping with logistical support and planning, as well as providing emotional support to the bride during this special but often stressful time. But, how can a bride keep her bridesmaids happy?
Clear communication is important. A bride should let her bridesmaids know what is expected of them ahead of time. If the bridesmaids are expected to plan parties or showers, the bride should clearly define not only who is footing the bill, but what the budget is. If the bridesmaids are assisting with seating arrangements, the bride should make sure they are aware ahead of time of any potential conflicts between guests, so that they can avoid making any unfortunate seating mistakes.
Bridesmaids are there to support the bride, but a happy bridesmaid will make for a happier bride. The bridesmaids are working hard to help the bride enjoy her special day. The bride needs to let the bridesmaids know how much they are appreciated. Simple words of thanks can go a long way. It is easy for a bride to become so caught up in the details of her wedding that she forgets to acknowledge those women who are standing by her side and carrying so much of the load.
Bridesmaids need to know they are appreciated. The bride and her bridesmaids are all working together as a team to make the wedding a success. Even the most composed bride can become overwhelmed at times, and tempers can flare. If a bride does lose her temper at her bridesmaids, an honest and sincere apology will work wonders.
One of the best ways to show bridesmaids they are appreciated is by buying the bridesmaids gifts. Bridesmaid gifts can be as simple as bridesmaid gift bags, or as elaborate as embroidered robes. These gifts don’t need to break the bank — cheap bridesmaid gifts can be found at many online and retail outlets. Most importantly, cheap bridesmaid gifts don’t have to look cheap. Inexpensive personalized bridesmaid gifts are still an excellent way for a bride to express her appreciation. Personalized bridesmaid gifts are unique keepsakes that a bridesmaid will cherish forever.
Bridesmaid gift bags are an excellent gift option. These can be customized for each bridesmaid, or purchased already filled with thematic gifts such as toiletries, bath accessories, cosmetics, etc.
Bridesmaids are an important part of the bride’s wedding party. By giving the bridesmaids gifts, telling them how important they are, and remembering to treat them with love and respect, a bride can ensure her wedding day will create enduring happy memories not only for herself, but for her bridesmaids as well.

Mini Wedding Cakes
What better way to celebrate Friday than with a cake post?
We’ve seen the rise in popularity of wedding cupcakes, but serving single-portion sized wedding cakes en lieu of a towering traditional confection has also gained popularity. Though, at $6-$15 per mini cake they’re not for everybody. We suggest serving up mini wedding cakes, or cakelets, if you:
- Are planning an intimate wedding with few guests and will not miss a cake cutting. - Desire variation in your culinary offerings. - Have a sizable budget and wish to provide your guests cake with a personalized touch.
How do feel about these mini creations? Are they too decadent price-wise, or a nice reprieve from the traditional sweet wedding fare?

A Hit: Keri Russell’s Hair Accessory
We’re suffering from what we call an Emmys hangover here at Weddingish. And since seeing Keri Russell’s bridal yet Emmy-appropriate flower hair accessory two weeks ago, we’ve rediscovered our love of silken floral hair accessories.
At $225, Jennifer Behr’s “Cosette” silk rose comb is quite the splurge. If you don’t have the budget for pricey flowers for your hair, we offer similar styles at a fraction of the cost. This is just another example of how the Red Carpet can influence your wedding day inspiration; we know we’re inspired!
Enjoy, Raya & Erin
