It is easy for a bride to become so caught up in the details of her wedding that she forgets to acknowledge those women who are standing by her side and carrying so much of the load.

Bridesmaids need to know they are appreciated. The bride and her bridesmaids are all working together as a team to make the wedding a success. Even the most composed bride can become overwhelmed at times, and tempers can flare. If a bride does lose her temper at her bridesmaids, an honest and sincere apology will work wonders.

Pearls and the Bride

Bridal pearls needn’t be in the form of your great grandmother’s dainty antique necklace.

Pearls have seen a facelift in recent years by creatively decorating wedding cakes and being clustered along a necklace rather than simply strung on a single string. Tiny pearls are even making their way onto trendsetting brides’ nails (along with pearl engagement rings, naturally). Even pearls strung on shoes can be sexy, as evidenced below.

Though, a classic pearl bracelet or necklace never goes out of style. It all depends on the time, place, and of course, the bride.

Beauty: Bridal Hair Blooms

Real Weddings: A Chic Malibu Soiree

A big thank you goes to our friend Duke of Duke Photography for sending along these images from Jasmin and Nick’s wedding!

It was truly a chic and dreamy by-the-sea soiree. This California wedding was full of oceanic details and crisp blue and white elements influenced by the ocean, arrangements overflowing with luscious flowers, and of course a truly stunning backdrop. We especially love the bride’s chic look, the multitude of candles at the reception and that beautiful cake.

Do you remember the perfume you wore as a bride?

Scent is the sense that is best associated with triggering memories. “When you first smell a new scent, you link it to an event, a person, a thing or even a moment” a recent Discovery Health article explained.

More and more, brides are selecting their wedding day fragrances with care. A recent bride, who was gifted a new bottle of perfume for Christmas, saved the first spritz for her wedding day. “I wanted to remember my wedding day each time I sprayed that perfume thereafter,” she said.

Brides, perfume may be another thing to add to your long to-do list; we promise the memories will be worth it. Bonus: a gorgeous bottle will look great in photographs.
