Spring 2012: Corset Gowns
We’re not talking corseted-back gowns; we’re looking at the front!
Most wedding gowns with corset-style bodices aren’t meant to achieve the benefits of traditional corsets. However, many mimic the shape, and therefore femininity. We spy several dreamy corset-style dresses in the Spring 2012 bridal collections. Some designers are even going the extra mile with embellished bodices. Monique Lhuillier really took charge with a collection chalk-full of boned corset-style bodices; Ines Di Santo, too.
Is a bridal gown with a corset-style bodice too bold of a statement for the average bride?
Love, Raya

Spring 2012: Gowns w/ Feather Details
We always have so much fun dissecting bridal gown trends. Though it’s a lot of work, sifting through photos from Bridal Market always makes us wish that we were once again planning our own weddings. But fortunately we can do what’s second best: provide ideas and inspiration on how to plan your wedding.
The feathery details of these wedding gowns are fun while at the same time adding femininity and even a bit of spice to the look.
Enjoy some of our favorites by Liancarlo, Rosa Clara and more.
Love, Raya

Sequins Everywhere
Make your bridal look go from 0 to 60 in seconds with sequins.
There are no longer bridal fashion rules. Below we love the bronze sequined sweetheart bodice of the BHLDN gown and the sweet sequin-sprinkled back of the Alina Pizzano dress. We’re also delighted by the possibilities of a playful kimono atop a simple frock.
We’ll save sequin clutches and hairpieces for another post; hopefully these photos get your glamour juices flowing!
XOXO, Raya
