DIY Bridal Party Cookies
Ever wonder how we make our amazingly delicious and stylish cookies? Well, wonder no more…here’s the scoop!
The Weddingish Newsprint Bridal Party Cookies were inspired by the polished black and white style of traditional news print. A more refined version of Weddingish’s famous bridal party cookies, these have become particularly popular and admired. With an overwhelming demand for cookies, cookies, cookies, these original newsprint cookies have helped brides and grooms everywhere ask or thank their bridal parties with a sweet alternative to the conventional greeting card! Every cookie is baked fresh to order and personalized for each individual. So just how are these famously delicious cookies made? Here are a few steps of how the sweet and stylish treats are made to perfection.
Step One : The scrumptious sugar cookie has been baked and cut into a shape of a dress form- exclusive Weddingish design. You may pick your favorite dress cookie cutter!
Step Two: The dress form is frosted with white icing to create the “dress.”
Step Three: The edible newsprint sheet with the famous words “will you be my bridesmaid?” in various fonts is then gently placed on the ‘wet’ icing of the skirt.
Step Four: The ‘skirt’ is carefully cut and shaped to the form of the cookie.
Step Five: Once the icing has dried, the dress is then ‘piped’ with black royal icing to outline the dress form. Then detailed on top with three ‘buttons.’ This gives the cookie a clean and finished look.
Step Six: To finish off the classy style, a ribbon belt is tied at the waist of the dress cookie and the cookie is placed in a decorative box for presentation. You may select any style or color of ribbon to coordinate with your wedding color or theme.
And there you have it, a delicious and fancy way of asking your bridal party to be a part of your day! The newsprint style cookies are also available in various styles for groomsmen, flower girls, ring bearers and more.

Is Macaron the New Cupcake?
Macarons have for too long been part of the wedding dessert supporting cast. These sweet confectioneries have been stacked on attractive tiered stands and displayed on desserts table aplenty. Macarons have been served, and delightfully received, at bridal events and shows. These goodies have played second fiddle to cupcakes, among others, for far too long – and they’re ready to take the spotlight.
Macarons have Italian origins, but are now a Parisian specialty. A macaron is a dessert fan’s delight. When consumed, you bite through a thin shell to meet a soft and moist interior, giving way to a filling that caps off the textural experience.
Why choose these delectable treats? Because of their versatility. They come in a plethora of flavors, from traditional chocolate to mint basil or mocha. They come in every color under the rainbow’s pastel equivalent, sure to satisfy any bridal color scheme. Too, they’re clean, attractive, and stackable for the ultimate display and photo opportunity. Whether served as dessert, used as a midnight snack, or stacked high en lieu of a wedding cake, macarons will be a surefire sweet success for your wedding.
