Yellow Flowers and Bows, Oh My!
Vivid yellow is scarce. There’s the bright sun and fields of sunflowers in nature, but to see yellow elsewhere is a rarity.
Yellow is an attention-getter. It’s a color of optimism, too, and is seen as enhancing concentration. To integrate this lively color into your wedding color palette is an easy way to ensure a bright, bold punch of cheery color. Think bows on your toes, or an attention-grabber on your gown (as is so beautifully demonstrated below – WOW). Spring for sugar paste flowers in a sea of white buttercream frosting, or go bountiful with yellow bouquets and overflowering centerpieces.
Have fun! Don’t be afraid of this vibrant color! Mixed with color it can pack some major punch. Paired with a light gray it can offer a fabulous contract. But a word of caution: use bright yellow sparingly, as it can be overpowering. Remember, too: Beauty is in the details.
Love, Raya & Erin

The Jewelry: 62nd Annual Emmy Awards
Emmys fashion encompasses not only the dress, but the jewelry, shoes and accessories which accompany it.
The Red Carpet was shimmering Sunday night, as we saw millions upon millions of dollars worth of jewelry on the pretty necks, ears and wrists of the stars that attended the Emmy Awards. We saw gobs of show-stopping pieces, like Heidi Klum’s Lorraine Schwartz ruby and diamond necklace and Eva Longoria-Parker’s punch-of-color chandelier earrings by Loren Jewels. Too, we saw a handful of stars wearing bracelets on both wrists; an upcoming trend, perhaps?
The images below are proof that one standout piece can be the key to completing an entire look. In bridal fashion this is no different. Take inspiration from the images below and, if you’re getting married, use them to inspire your bridal jewelry look.
Who wore your favorite jewels?
XOXO, Erin

Another awards show, another Red Carpet. And that means more fabulous bridal fashion inspiration.
As usual, it was all glitz and glam at the 62nd Annual Emmy Awards. Last night we saw an array of gorgeous wedding-worthy gowns: Stunning Kim Kardashian in a white Marchesa Grecian gown, a flawless Claire Danes in a Giorgio Armani Privé Swarovski-encrusted dress, and sweet Jewel in a pretty blush Zuhair Murad gown. Let the photos below do the talking.
See my favorite picks below, too.
